Abstract: In the vast internet world,why did a seemingly ordinary fake event,"Shanghai girl fled Jiangxi village" become a hot topic? Based on micro public opinion system,this study set up 30 monitoring key phrases,collected 273 582 related posts including Sina Weibo's 214 207 posts,and made public opinion analysis of the event. The results show that the public opinion of the event was mainly focused on the days from February 7th to February 15th,while non-sensitive public opinions accounted for 83.64%. Beijing was the city where the public was drawn into the most heated debate,while Guangzhou ranked second,and Shanghai ranked third. However,Jiangxi's public opinion was not high. Because of the attention-seeking method,mass conformity,netizens resonated with labels,and the incident became a hot issue. Regional,urban,rural and inter-generation factors have affected people's classes,with the regional factors outweighing urban,rural and inter-generation factors. Therefore,in addition to the governance of the network environment,our country also needs to make a plan for all-around regional development,adjust the distribution of wealth system,and improve the mechanism of upward social mobility.
