Abstract: The Emendation that published in 1944 is the representative work of Xiang Zonglu about collation. This monograph has deeply discussed many questions of bobliology,such as the theory of bobliology,the method of collation and so on. On the opinion of theory,Xiang Zonglu insist that collation regard text correction as the main content,and also include following substances,gathering the versions,removing the error etc. He also inventive deemed Han dynasty and Tang dynasty as the peak period of the history of emendation. On the method of textual criticism,he mainly recommended following three ways:collecting different edition widely,revising fallacy and managing variants,and try to perfected the ways from Chen Yuan; On the performance of emendation,more than interpreting the theory and method of bobliology,Xiang put these theories into practice and obtained abundant productions. In a word,Xiang Zonglu has made contributions in the transformation of the traditional philology.
