Abstract:
Bianzhu is a famous Leishu compiled by Du Gongzhan for Emperor Sui Yang in the Sui Dynasty, which was compiled in Jiangdu around 610 A.D. to 611 A.D.. Bianzhu did not spread widely in the Tang and Song Dynasties, but The Catalogue of Chinese Books in Japan, Chong Wen Zong Mu Sui Chu Tang Shu Mu and other books, were descriptive catalogues of Bianzhu. Gao Shiqi discovered the fragmentary edition of Bianzhu in the imperial academy when he was liquidating and researching imperial book collections in the Qing Dynasty, so he supplemented compilation of Bianzhu and publicized it. Gao Shiqi's supplement was very different from Du Gongzhan's compilation, and Serial Bianzhu was a new work by Gao according to the style of Bianzhu. There are three editions of Bianzhu circulated so far known, mainly including the edition of Qingyintang, the edition of the imperial academy and the edition of Wen Zheng 12th year.
