Abstract:
Since the penetration of Intercultural Communication into China, most research in this field has been conducted in the intercultural background of China (East) and the West. In comparison, the rigid and vague definition of the intercultural boundary is more notable in the research on Chinese ethnic groups. It has been found that the logic of helping the underprivileged has exacerbated people's cognitive prejudices about Intercultural within Chinese ethnic groups when incorporating this situation into the academic tradition of domestic intercultural communication research. The clarification of the cultural boundaries in intercultural studies essentially involves how to re-value "others" as well as how to deal with the issue of othering. The key to the operational level is to redefine intercultural relations, that is,the transformation from the common sense-based identification to the actual investigation and specific research questions, from process-oriented to object-oriented.
