Abstract: Platform capitalism is an extension of the form of capitalist economic organization with digital platforms as the core and digital technology as the support in the digital age. It inherits the essence of capital’s exploitation of labor and triggers a profound new alienation of labor. From the perspective of the main components of labor, platform capital uses “digital subversion” of labor methods, “unregulated quantification” of labor time, “panoramic monitoring” of labor space, and “multi-level exploitation” of labor subjects. The “negative reconstruction” of labor value has triggered a profound new alienation of labor. The new alienation of labor is an extension of Marx’s theory of labor alienation in the period of platform capitalism. Its very essence is the application effect of digital platform technology under the leadership of the platform capital proliferation logic, and its research still follows the logic of capital criticism and instrumental rational criticism. From the root, realizing the transformation from “platform capital enslavement” to “digital labor liberation” is an effective response to the new alienation of labor in platform capitalism.
