Abstract: Emotional interaction is an important part of human communication, limited by space, time and trust. With the support of digital technology system, intelligent emotional robots promote the in-depth development of human-computer interaction by simulating and conveying human emotions and feelings. The Internet, especially the immersive Internet experience and the metaverse, enables people to achieve online face-to-face “embodied” emotional interaction by building a digital space. The emotional interaction achieved through digital media cannot be equated with or replace the emotional interaction in physical communication between people. However, digital media can break through the limits of time, space and trust, promote the universal realization of emotional interaction, and better meet people’s emotional needs, enabling them to gain more emotional strength and enriching their spiritual world. The more emotional information people obtain, the more they can promote the in-depth development of their communication and practical activities, thus rebuilding the “emotional community” and promoting the comprehensive development of a community with a shared future for mankind.
