On "the Religious Detachment"of Buddhism,Taoism and Confucianism

摘要: “超越性”问题不仅是宗教学、也是哲学上的一个重大基本问题。本文试图根据我们对“超越”的一般界定, 对佛教、道教和“儒教”各自的超越方式进行了说明。佛教徒的超脱或者“超越”是一种对经验存在的超越, 作为宗教的道教与作为哲学的道家之间存在着非常清楚的宗教超越与哲学超越的界线, 而儒家则是哲学的超越, 而非宗教的超越Abstract: The question of "detachment" is a grave basic question in both the study of religion and of philosophy. This paper illustrates the way of detachment in Buddhism, Taoism, and Confucianism on the basis of common definition of "detachment". The detachment or surmount of Buddhists is a kind of surmount to existent experience. There is a borderline for Taoism to be a religion and a philosophy. But Confucianism is the transcendence in philosophy, not in religion.
