Abstract: The Course-credit System is an efficient way of measuring academic work in American higher Education. The paper explores the history and development of the system firstly; then analyses the scope of it; finally it makes an objective assessment of it. At the end of this paper, he author calls for the reform ofthe Chinese Higher Education academic system, and put forward some suggestions to it.
