Abstract: The major features of Chinese ancient teaching ethics are "learn with an insatiable desire and teach with tireless zeal", "set an example by oneself", "love and care for students", "teach students according to their aptitude and with skill and patience" and "be strict with oneself and lenient towards others", which bear much on the current construction of the teach ethics. The beneficial content of the Chinese ancient teaching ethics should be incorporated into the construction of the teaching ethics.
