Abstract: The author believes the exist en ce of Internet will to a large extent increase the social economic performance.T he paper first looks back to the emergence of Internet to discuss its technical basis for improving efficiency.Then the principles from five as-pects,it detail s means of how Internet influences economic performance.Lastly,it analyses the p ossible challenge and problems brought along with the dot com economy.
