Abstract: Charles Taylor criticizes atomism and negative freedom on the ontological level,advocates patriotism and common good in practice,which insist community is priority over individual.It is communitarianism's essential characteristic and also the important reason that Charles Taylor is looked as an important representation of communitarianism.
