Abstract: Drowning girls is an un desirable practice in the feudal society.To our surprise,this horrible wrong doi ng had been a practice in the region of North China and the amount of drowned gi rls was so great.There were obviously profound causes that caused the practice t o be faddish;and at that time the practice arose a series of social problems.The old social problem has us ruminate over its significance to today's social lif e and social construction.
