Abstract: Universities are regarded as the cultivation basis for highly qualified talents, and the formation and improvement of their core competitiveness are very crucial to the advancement of cultural competitiveness. This article focuses on the presentations of university core competitiveness at different levels, and proposes the methodology and techniques of forming core competitiveness, and points out the protective measures for lifting up core competitiveness under current situations. The proposed theories and methodologies should be interwoven with the reality, and they will provide reference and guidance for the formation of core competitiveness and great expansion of universities in China.
