Abstract: After proving the necessity of providing education on Marxist philosophy in modern China, this paper goes on to discuss the deep-rooted reasons that cause this branch of learning to fall into the present difficult position. As are pointed out, content lagging behind the ages, education purposes not practical enough, and outdated and humdrum teaching methods are the three main causes for the situation.
