Abstract: The apprize duty in an insurance contract is a legal duty prescribed in the insurance law, and a rational establishment of apprize duty system is the foundation of insurance business. This article proposes a preliminary discussion of such issues as insurance apprize duty subject, scope and the legal consequences of law breaking according to insurance law theory and relevant regulations in insurance law in China.
