Abstract:
In the modern society, alienation has become a universal phenomenon, embodying the destiny of the majority. A Strange Friend of Christoph Hein, a contemporary German writer, just is centered around this theme. This paper discusses both the creative approaches, and the theme. It analyzes the heroine's mental activities and her habit of photography, and exposes the pressure that is posed on individuality by the modern society and expresses people's thirst for human affection in the nonchalant world.
