Abstract:
Mao Tse-Tung's "Question-raising Teaching" is a heuristic teaching method that excels in enlightening students by means of questions as well as in the cultivation of students' question-raising awareness. Coincidentally, its fundamental connotation is in agreement with the key requirement put forward by innovative education on the development of people's question-raising awareness. In view of the special historical status and the tremendous influence of Mao Tse-Tung, this paper argues that a summary and a corresponding theoretical distillation of Mao Tse-Tung "Question-raising Teaching" as well as a probing into its inspiration for contemporary innovative education will provide direct and practical references for the reform and development of Chinese education nowadays.
