Abstract: Based on the theory of androgyny and some interviews of two female undergraduates living with their mothers, this research explores the mental health of undergraduates in single-parent family. The methods employed for the qualitative research are as follows: coding by means of categorizing the main concepts or themes, and then studying the impact (that both of father and mother, but especially of mother) of gender role on them.
