Abstract:
To examine college students’coping process,this present authors, with the mode “process-orientation” in their minds, have adopted two methods: “Incident Record” and “Individual Interview”, for the six-week tracing examination of 28 students. The study finds that: “interpersonal relationship” and “study and self development” are the two most-frequently-happened incidents among university students; students' perception of “pleasantness”, “involvement of emotion or rationality”and “frustration” has significant incident type effects; their primary appraisal of the stressful event also has significant incident type effects; students take different ways to cope with certain incident.
