Abstract: The scientific decision making on the terms of payment is critical for exporters to get reimbursement of the shipped goods safely, timely and economically and to achieve the objective with the trade partners on a win-win basis. To the largest extent it can avoid later losses or disputes resulted from a decision-making lacking full considerations. Exporters should locate the right dimensions of decisions, find correct evaluation criteria, carry out qualitative as well as quantitative analysis and relate past experiences to get the best solution under certain circumstances, and provide evaluation result and feedback. Several managerial concerns should be taken to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of the whole process.
