公民科学素养测试及其困难

    The Measurement of Citizen Scientific Literacy and its Problems

    • 摘要: 国际上通用的三维“公民科学素养”概念及部分测试仍然存在相当多的理论问题和操作上的难点;此测试的完善化,需要从科学哲学、科学史和科学社会学等学科中汲取营养;针对我国地区发展的严重不平衡,我国应当建立自己的观测与评估体系。测试中的问题也部分反映了“缺失模型”本身的局限性。

       

      Abstract: The general three dimensional concepts of civic scientific literacy and related test items from Jon Miller and OECD's PISA are reviewed in this paper.It points out that there are still a lot of theoretical and practical problems to be considered and the basic framework involved should come from science studies,and that China should set up its own measurement and explanation system to cope with the serious asymmetry of its regional social and educational development.The problems found in the test partly reveal the limits of"deficient model"in the public understanding of science.
