Abstract:
Xixia scroll-paintings are mainly excavated in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. There are more than 200 scroll-paintings. Among them, Chinese traditional painting style coexists with Tibetan traditional painting style, namely Tang Ga. The former expresses partly the subject matter of The Pure Land Sect which is Chinese faith. It especially focuses on "Amitabha coming and meeting",a scene that conveys a unique style of Xixia,in spite of it inheriting Tang style. The latter, we could find its composition, colour and model which source from the Tibetan Tang Ga in about 12th century.
