Abstract: The southern area of Taklimakan desert enjoys a long history of the development of towns and counties,but has now become one of the areas characterized by slow economic development in the whole province and even in the whole country.Since 1928,concurrent with the rapid economic and social development and fast growth of population,the problems,such as unreasonable land-use,desertification and deterioration of ecological environment,become more and more serious.Moreover these result in environmental pollution in the region,which not only affect the construction of the counties and towns,but also destroy directly the agriculture base.On the basis of the analysis on Hotan's land-use structure,this article puts forward a feasible plan for the reasonable utilization of the land resources in the region.
