Abstract: A number of characters in Yang Chaoguan's Yinfengge Zaju are the ideal spokespersons for Confucian thoughts.With the strong sense of social responsibility and historical mission,that is,to take the world as their own business,they are true great persons whom no money and rank can confuse,no poverty and hardship can shake,and no power and force can suffocate.These embody Yang Chaoguan's high value on self-cultivation,his positive and uplifting spiritual pursuits,and his Confucian political ideals.
