Abstract: People orient is the core of the scientific outlook of development, a brand new idea of educational activities. In the higher school ideological and political education, the introduction of the people-oriented idea has much significance for the strengthening and improvement of higher school ideological and political education, and the growing and development of college students. This paper puts emphasis on the analysis of the people-oriented core idea of higher school ideological and political education, and believes that the people-oriented spirit of higher school ideological and political education should include the aspects of caring about people, development of people, and serving people.
