Abstract:
Poets of the Zhenguan Era of the Tang Dynasty occupies an important position in literature history that should not be neglected. The paper chooses Li Baiyao and Yang Shidao as representatives to analyze their poetry. Li Baiyao, the heir of a prominent family, who had "made fame home and abroad", wrote poems full of "rich thoughts and melancholy mediations". He specialized in writing verses in pentameters. Yang Shidao was a relative of the emperor, "good at writing and calligraphy", and
"while excited, took up a pen and finish a poem in no time". They all had been put in key positions by Taizong Emperor. They were also important poets of that time, who played an important role in the poetry of Tang Dynasty. Therefore to study them is necessary.
