Abstract:
The quality of a journal can be judged according to the value of its articles, the level of its editing and designing, and the standard of its printing and binding. The realization of those criteria and the improvement of a journal are intricately related to the overall qualifications of its editors. A competent editor should have the ability to distinguish high-value articles from low-value ones, and also possess sensitive editorial capacities, and excellent evaluative skills for design and print. Those abilities can only be achieved and enhanced through conscientious cultivation, which are indispensable prerequisites for the improvement of a journal's quality.
