Abstract: A Study of the Address Forms in A Dream of Red Mansions is a book which is studied from the perspectives of rhetorics, pragmatics, sociolinguistics and systemic functional grammar. It attempts to make a comprehensive and systematic investigation of the address forms in A Dream of Red Mansions. This paper aims to make an evaluation of the book, based on the content of it. It shows that this study is a new angle of view in the study of A Dream of Red Mansions.
