Abstract: Modern society develops rapidly and is beset by various kinds of unstable factors. In the presence of natural and mancaused disasters, how to prevent and resist crisis has become a common challenge. As a result, crisis management has gradually become spotlighted in academic research. For the importance of information in crisis management, crisis communication and reporting become more and more important. Setting the internet media's reporting of the Wenchuan Earthquake as the background, combined with the development of modern media context, and based on the other existent theory and practice of the study on crisis management and communication, this paper will discuss the advantages, development and restrictions of internet media in modern crisis communication.
