Abstract: The cultural development of Guangdong province reached unprecedented levels in the Qing dynasty. Literary creations and compilation works of this period were very popular and common. Therefore, poem collections also abounded and made obvious achievement. Among them, "Guo Chao Ling Hai Shi Chao", a provincial Qing Poem collection was the culmination of the that period, which was edited by Ling Yangzao. This article attempts to explore its compilation intents, in order to provide reference for the research of local poem collections.
