Abstract: With the rapid growth of the national economy, the construction industry in China develops rapidly in recent years. It is significant to study the productivity of construction industry as the role of construction industry is more and more obvious in the national economy. The CCR DEA model only divides the DMU into efficient or inefficient. However, the supper-efficient DEA which is improved from the CCR DEA mode was applied to evaluating the productivity of construction industry during the period of 1997- 2006. The results show that although the overall efficiency remains at a high level, it has been fluctuatingly decreased from 2002, and the growth of energy consumption has been overly fast, and meanwhile the efficiency of energy utilization has been low.
