Abstract: the principal component analysis method and the Matlab software to make quantitative analysis on water, air and solid pollutants in 2001 and 2005. The paper rank the level of environmental pollution of each province and analyzed the main factors which caused environmental quality changes in order to provide scientific basis for regional and national environmental management and planning, environmental engineering, pollution prevention and decision-making and environmental protection policies making.
