Abstract: With the advent of the digital time, the natural language process has become the key to the information process. As a result, growing emphasis has been placed on language science and technology. The language science and technology have been an interdisciplinary research area with a wide interaction with other scientific fields. However, there is an inseparability of the development of the language science, technology and philosophy. This paper first states the natural and social attributes of language. Then the study reveals the scientific and engineering features. Based on the above points, the present paper investigates the interaction among the philosophical methodology, philosophy development, the language science and technology. The author further proposes an assumption of the orientation of the development of the language science and technology.
