Abstract: The civil aviation transport industry is a very important part of the modern social general transport system. This industry exerts important effect on aspects of international politics, economy, commerce, civilization and physical culture. It is a basal and precursory industry of the national economy. The advancement of competence of the civil aviation transport industry is the most important matter to develop Chinese civil aviation transport industry. The significance to advance the competence of the civil aviation transport industry was summarized and the competence of civil aviation transport industry was defined firstly. Based on the industry lifecycle theory, the characteristics of the civil aviation transport industry in different developing phases were analyzed from several angles. Finally, the evolvement path of the civil aviation transport industry competence was put forward.
