Abstract:
As a major representative of Eco-Marxism in England, Pepper is original about on environmental problems. He insists on anthropocentrism and objects the practices of endowing nonhuman objects with‘intrinsic value’and‘ethical right’to achieve harmony between human and nature. He considers it urgent to realize social justice between human beings in order to solve environmental problems. A research on Pepper’s ecological thoughts can lay bare their implications for current environmental ethics which are in a predicament today.
