Abstract: History of Confucianism in Ming Dynasty by Huang Zongyi is a monograph on the academic history of Ming Dynasty. It achieved breakthroughs in the aspects of editing, the standards of selection and comments on personages, etc, thus becoming the example for later generations. Based on the analysis and integration of the time of its publication, its versions, general comments and other specific contents, the present article concludes that the studies of this book have made great progress, which are becoming more and more detailed, and literature studies as well as researches in combination with other disciplines are the priority of future studies.
