Why To Translate Ji He Yuan Ben—Comparison Between Chinese And Western Math According to the Translation of The Former Six Volume of Ji He Yuan Ben

摘要: 有关《几何原本》翻译的研究已有不少。但是对于翻译原因揭示不够；对于与之相关的翻译过程认识上有分歧；对于翻译时间观点上不一致；对于翻译过程所包含的，中西数学知识和思想的认识与比较，和《几何原本》的翻译与几百年来中西数学和文化会通的关系，研究不充分。这些恰恰是本文的主要内容。

Abstract: Though there are quite a number of studies on the translation of Euclid’s Elements, disagreements on the reason of translation, the process of translation and the time of translation still abound. Researches on the comparisons and communications between Chinese and Western mathematics in the process of the translation of this book are still not sufficient. This is the content of the present paper.
