Abstract: There are great differences between the Yuan Dynasty poet Nizan’s mountain-and-water paintings and his poems. Most of his poems are traditional， while his paintings are creative； spring is described in most of his poems， while autumn is depicted in most of his paintings； his poems are rich and gaudy but his paintings succinct； the images of his poems are numerous and complicated but the images of his paintings are pure and simple.
