Abstract:
The most distinctive characteristic of Wang Wei’s artistic thoughts is that he used poetry as the point of departure to incorporate calligraphy, paintings, music and other arts. This kind of “general science of art” thinking not only reflects Wang Wei’s integration of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism philosophy, but also represents the whole panorama of the arts of Tang Dynasty. Wang Wei’s artistic thoughts are of great significance to the contemporary construction of the discipline of “the general art of science”.
