Abstract: The concept of “the common interests of mankind” was generated in the beginning of human existence. But it did not mark the conception of safeguarding the common interests of mankind in international law until the concept“common heritage of mankind”was proposed. With the deepening of globalization，“common interests of mankind”gradually appear.“Global concerns”，“common human concerns”，“world heritage”make the concept of“common interests of mankind”more and more important in many fields of international law.“Common interests of mankind”，which have the nature of jus cogens，have been found in many treaties of international law，and it conforms the requirement of being a basic principle of international law and thus ought to be a basic principle of international law.
