Abstract:
The integration of the traditional and digital terminals and mobile networks becomes the industry's strategic choice. The “client mode”based on the iPad type mobile terminal offers a new digital content distribution business model. However,the “application”version of the magazine has also revealed many problems. Moreover,the uncertain future of charge for content,whether “broadcast” mode is also able to adapt to the new communicational environment,all cause practical problems. This paper argues that the transition from print edition magazine to digital publishing is related to many factors,such as content repositioning,distribution model reconstructing,charge and pricing,interest redistribution,terminal penetration etc. How the future business model looks like remains to be seen.
