Abstract: Guoyu as the representative genre of pre-Qin period has major status in Chinese academic history,which illustrates the social features of different regions between Western Zhou and the Spring and Autumn Period. In the last ten years,Scholars have expanded the research field in addition to discussing the traditional fields such as the writer and the writing years,characteristics and values for more comprehensive studies. Using synthesis method of document as well as other disciplines to reveal the literary characteristics and ideological content,etc.,the study which regards Guoyu as a special academic subject has been formed initially.
