Abstract: Impetuous tendency is a“cancer”of civilization in today’s society,which is rooted in the conflicts between rapidly expansive desire and slowly increasing ability of modern people. It is directly or indirectly due to the fast expansion of modern technology that social factors for impetuous tendency emerge, such as the speed-up of the pace of life,sharply increasing workload, escalating competition,and the coming of a risk society. However, because of the foundamenal supporting role of technology in social life,people cannot give up the development and application of technology in order to cure impetuous tendency. Today,people should gradually eliminate impetuous tendency and realize healthy development through humanized technology,division of labor and cooperation, the building of leisure culture,as well as the reconstruction of spiritual home.
