Abstract:
China is in a difficult and crucial period in coping with public crisis. Along with the improvement of public safety consciousness in government and people, public security needs are constantly increasing which objectively promotes the generation and development of emergency industry. By comparative analyses of existing emergency industrial concepts, we put forward new concepts and characteristics of emergency demand, process, product and participants. Chinese emergency industry is an emerging industry with many problems, such as vague industrial definition, low technological content, backward critical equipment, unbalanced industrial structure and lagging industrial policy. Based on the analyses of the present conditions and the situation of China, two suggestions are proposed to promote the development of Chinese emergency industry. The first is to give the emergency industry a more solid foundation, and the second is to create the momentum for the development of emergency industry. Only through improving emergency management system, planning reasonable industrial development, constructing industrial management information system, perfecting relevant legal and regulatory systems to provide a solid foundation, can China create the power for the development of the industry by cultivating market demand, strengthening innovation ability, formulating incentive policy, training emergency personnel and reinforcing international communication, and then promote emergency industry’s further development.
