Abstract:
The reform and development of teacher education in China have the characteristics of openness, professionalism, and lifelong development, but there are still many gaps between theory and practice. Based on the similarity of some aspects of British teacher education with ours, to study and learn from advanced historical experience of British teacher education provides great inspirations. In this paper, we employed longitudinal comparative analysis and horizontal comparison analysis method to analyze British teacher education development course, and revealed its experiences in the fields of strengthening student teachers’ professional competence, formulating development policies by relying on experts, and combining theory and practice. Finally, according to the revelation of British experience, we proposed some reform strategies and measures to our teacher education development.
