中国区域经济增长的碳排放强度差异及其敛散性

    Research on the Difference of Carbon Emission Intensity and The Convergence in The Regional Economic Growth in China

    • 摘要: 依据可持续经济发展理论, 选取省际区域层面的面板数据为样本, 扩展Barro和Sala-i-Martin的β收敛模型, 考察中国区域间经济增长碳排放强度的敛散性, 并提出中国经济增长与碳减排协同发展的收敛路径。通过对中国大陆地区30个省际区域样本的实证检验, 证实中国省际区域间经济增长的碳排放强度呈现条件β收敛态势。在对东部、中部、西部区域子样本的实证检验结果, 再次证实三个子样本的地区间呈现条件β收敛, 并且中部区域收敛速度最快, 西部区域收敛速度次之, 东部区域收敛速度最慢。鉴于区域间经济环境禀赋差异及其敛散性, 提出加速区域间经济增长与碳减排协同发展收敛速度的路径选择建议。

       

      Abstract: In the article based on the sustainable economic development theory, the Barro and Sala-i-Martin’s β-convergence models are herein extended and inter-provincial panel data are selected as the samples to investigate the convergence of carbon emission intensity in the Chinese regional economic coordinated development. On the basis of the research, a convergence path has been proposed to develop jointly among Chinese different regional economic environments. Importantly, the conditional β-Convergence of carbon emission intensity in the Chinese regional economic coordinated development is confirmed by empirically testing 30 inter-provincial samples from Chinese mainland. It is also confirmed that different regions present a trend similar to the β-convergence due to the test result of three sub-samples. The speed of the convergence in the central region is fastest and the speed of the convergence in the western region seems to be slower than that in the central region, whereas it is slowest in the eastern region. In view of the fact that the joint development of regional economic environments is endowed with its plausible differences and convergence, a path to accelerate the convergence of joint development of regional economic environments should be selected.
