Abstract:
Tomlinson, the British cultural communication expert, uses the paradigm of globalization instead of the paradigm of cultural imperialism to interpret inter-cultural exchange and communication, and always grasps the complex connectivity of the external features to construct his theory of globalization. From the beginning of the impact of globalization on culture, Tomlinson analyses the various distant forces that lead to the transformation of cultural construct in the living world under the context of globalization. On this basis, he interprets how the globalization for the characterization of complex connectivity to promote the moment refactoring of human intimacy and moral concern from the microscopic or individual experience. The globalized paradigm construction of cultural communication of Tomlinson has a strong Anglo-American empiricism characteristics. If we say Tomlinson deconstructs the paradigm of cultural imperialism, then, on the paradigm of globalization, he is constructive.
