Abstract:
Employing grounded theory, this paper established the index system of influencing factors for the firm's implementation of e-waste take-back responsibility in China. The questionnaire was designed according to the index system and a large sample survey was conducted. Through applying the confirmatory factor analysis (CFA),this paper further verified the availability of these identified influencing factors empirically. The influencing mechanism on the implementation of e-waste take-back responsibility is given, and some policy implications are also provided. The research results show that there are five influencing factors for the implementation of e-waste take-back responsibility, namely the implementation cost, the producers' environmental protection awareness, laws and policies, green awareness of consumers and the willingness of the consumers' participation. Moreover, the factor of laws and policies plays the most important role among these factors. The effects of environmental protection awareness and recovery habit could also attach great importance. The recovery cost has the least effect on the implementation of e-waste take-back responsibility.
