Abstract: Based on the detailed analysis of existing theoretical and practical results obtained from scientific and technological innovation methods, by applying literature review and comparative analysis, research progress and development context about innovation methods at home and abroad were commented from the perspectives of creatology,economics, philosophy and management. Differences and consensus in different disciplines on research perspectives, focusing directions,study objects and research purposes of innovation method were analyzed and revealed. Through comparative analysis and discussion on research progress, theoretical developments and main views, the next three major research trends and clues were refined: 1. Study of innovation method develops towards systematic, integrated direction; 2. Group innovation method is receiving increasing attention; 3. Means of research tends towards multidisciplinary convergence approach.
