Abstract:
China's regional carbon emission intensity presented different trends in different economic development stages. In order to help decision-makers to formulate low-carbon development policy according to the temporal and spatial characteristics of regional carbon emission intensity, based on the logarithmic mean Divisia Index(LMDI)method, the Carbon Emission Intensity Decomposition Decision Support System is developed, and the corresponding software following an object-oriented information system development process is established. Preliminary applications of the system show that it can help users visually and quantitatively to find problems existing in the energy structure, energy efficiency and economic structure of different provinces, and thus could be helpful for the formulation of relevant provincial low-carbon development policies.
